On Tuesday 30th June, the whole Hope community came together for our Annual General Meeting at the Mercure Hotel in Sherwood, Nottingham. And what a special day it was!
As an independent fostering agency supporting foster carers across Nottingham, Derby and the wider East Midlands, our AGM is one of the highlights of our year. It is a chance to celebrate everything our foster parents and staff have achieved, and to look ahead at what’s next for fostering in our region.
Updates
Our staff team delivered a fantastic set of presentations covering every aspect of work at Hope. Staff shared information on compliance, family support, recruitment, home-finding, the current fostering landscape, and more. With more children than ever needing safe and loving homes in Nottingham and Derby, it was a timely reminder of why the work we do at Hope Fostering is so important.
Celebrating our amazing foster parents
The real highlight of our day? Our foster parent awards! Each award was linked to the fostering standards, recognising the incredible dedication, skill and love that our carers bring to the young people they care for, every single day. Congratulations to all our winners, you help to make Hope such a special fostering agency to be part of.
And we can’t forget the food, lunch was absolutely delicious. A huge well done to Fate and the whole team for organising such a brilliant day from start to finish.
Looking ahead to summer
There is so much to look forward to over the coming months. Our summer calendar is packed with activities for our fostering families, including our much-loved annual picnic and an exciting trip to Drayton Manor. We are so proud of our fostering community, and days like this are what make fostering with hope feel like part of one big family.
