This week is ‘Member’s Week’ for Coram Baaf. The theme this year is ‘Listening to the child’ and each day they have a different focus.
Today the focus is on ‘Identity’. Exploring and supporting the identity of children and young people in care is crucial for their emotional well-being and development, as it helps them build a strong sense of self, resilience and stability in their lives.
We are posting every day this week on our social accounts to explore these topics further. At Hope, we are hugely invested in the voices of our young people. We have a dedicated team of family support workers who have been recently working with some of our young people on their life stories and exploring various elements of individual identity.
