That\u2019s why we\u2019re thrilled to announce that we\u2019ve signed up for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinkpearlparent.academy\/home\">Pink Pearl Parenting Academy<\/a>, which is \u2018an award-winning platform designed specifically for foster parents.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Academy was created by two incredible foster carers, Sebastian and Patrick, who truly understand the realities of fostering. Sebastian spent time in foster care as a child and brings lived experience of childhood trauma, alongside 25 years of designing practical, engaging training for large organisations. Patrick adds his expertise from supporting adults with learning disabilities and now fosters alongside Sebastian. Together, they care long-term for three siblings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our foster parents now have free access to short, online courses presented in a variety of ways, such as podcasts, picture storybooks, and interactive videos. Examples of covered topics include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Managing anger and big emotions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding shame and trauma<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Handling sibling conflict<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responding to sexualised behaviour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Just last month, Pink Pearl Parenting Academy won an international award celebrating their innovative and accessible approach to supporting carers. We are so pleased that we are able to share this support with our foster families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019ve ever considered becoming a foster carer, now is the perfect time.
